The Committee

The Lloyd's Under 30's Committee is made up of 12 individuals whom have been elected from previous tours. They are Underwriters and Brokers from a range of different Non-Marine Insurance and Reinsurance classes as they aim to represent a wide selection of the market.

Dan spent 2 years at RK Harrison and more recently 4 years with Lockton Companies responsible for their North American Property book, and incorporating the South American Property / Power classes more latterly. Having joined McLarens in 2013, Dan took up the role of London Liaison for the group under a global remit.

Stevie joined Brit insurance in 2010 as a graduate from Brighton University as a claims adjuster. In 2012, Stevie moved over the the Personal Accident underwriting team assisting on a number of accounts including War, Sports and K&R. She was promoted to Assistant Underwriter in 2013.

Having started her career by taking a six month internship for JLT in Sydney in January 2011, Lucy then spent the next two months working for the Political Risks and Terrorism team at Sciaci Saint Honoré in Paris before joining the JLT Graduate Scheme in London later that year with a position in the Credit, Political & Security Risks Division (CPS) on the Major Banks team. Specializing in credit and political risk insurance for banks and commodity traders, Lucy worked for JLT in London for three and a half years before moving out to join the CPS team in Singapore in September 2014 where she has expanded into the Security Risks sphere working on terrorism and kidnap & ransom business as well as credit and political Risks for JLT’s clients in Southeast Asia.

Having achieved a BA (Hons) Degree in in Politics and International Relations at Manchester University, Natasha spent a year in wealth management before entering the world of Insurance in April 2013. Natasha has spent the last 26 months at Brit Insurance in the position of Underwriting Assistant across both the North American and Worldwide Property teams.

Whilst studying Mathematics and Philosophy at the University of Manchester, Andrew spent some time working with Hiscox Global Markets out of Lloyd’s. This was primarily with the Property team however significant time was spent with the Fine Art, Specie, Terrorism and PA teams.

After having graduated Andrew began working at Advent Syndicate. Initially this was with the Open Market and Binding Authorities Property teams.  After 6 months he began to focus solely on Open Market property business and has continued to do so since. He achieved full underwriting authority at the beginning of 2012.

James joined Prospect Insurance Brokers in December 2011 as a graduate of Newcastle University. He started out by assisting in both the claims and broking divisions across various classes of business, before spending the majority of his time on the placing side, assisting on various accounts for clients worldwide, including cargo, GL, property, liability, A&H, K&R and life. More recently, James was appointed COO of UAV Protect, a new trading name of Prospect Brokers, which provides specialist insurance to unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)/drone operators and manufacturers worldwide. James has also obtained his ACII.

After obtaining a 2.1 degree at the University of Nottingham, Tom Hilton began his career in November 2012, joining the ANV 1861 Property team. Originally working between open market and binders, he now concentrates on D&F business. Tom is ACII qualified and has had full underwriting authority since November 2015.

Charlotte joined Willis in 2011 on the graduate scheme as a global placement analyst. She transferred to the Financial Solutions department in 2013 broking political & credit risks and was promoted to Senior Broker in February 2016.

He spent a year rotating around various departments in the company before settling in the Property D&F team, where he has been ever since. He became ACII qualified in April 2013 and started underwriting two years after that. He currently holds the title of Assistant Underwrite.
